Principles of Ayurveda
Ayurveda says the mind, body, and soul of each person are in harmony with the world around him. In this view, the disease is the result of any imbalance in human communication with the world around them.
It says each person is composed of the five basic elements of space, air, fire, water, and soil. The ancients also believed that the combination of these basic elements with the three basic elements of life, called dosha, formed the human body. The three energies or double forces are actually the forces that control the functioning of the body.
These forces include Vata Dosha (air and space), Pita Dosha (fire and water), and Kappa Dosha (water and earth). . They say that one of these three forces was more powerful in each person than the other three forces. And it determines the main personality and function and general reaction of his body.
Dosha Vata is generally the strongest Dosha. If we adapt Dosha’s function to modern science, things like cell division, respiration, heart and brain control, and part of the function of the gastro – intestinal tract (excretion) are related to this force. So, they consider consecutive meals, fear and anxiety, sadness, and late sleep to be the disruptive factors of Vata dosha. Problems such as heart disease, skin diseases, rheumatism, and anxiety are also symptoms of Vata Dosha imbalance.
Pita Dosha’s force is responsible for controlling the digestion and secretion of various hormones (such as the hunger hormone).
The function of the kappa force is to control muscle growth, and provide the body with the force it needs, endurance, and weight control. Sleeping during the day, over – eating sugary foods, and beverages that contain salt and water can impair kappa function. As a result, it causes asthma, cancer, diabetes, nausea after eating, and obesity.
