Ayurveda is one of the oldest healing methods in the world that covers the whole body. This method was developed in India 3000 years ago. According to Ayurvedic teachings, health depends on the balance between mind, body, and soul. The main purpose of this method is to promote health, not to fight disease.

It is one of the oldest holistic therapies in the world, in which the health of man and his body is thought to depend on the balance between his soul, body, and mind.

According to modern medical science standards, this method is an alternative method. This ancient medicine is more than 3000 years old and its roots go back to India. Like many practices and beliefs of the people of this land, Ayurvedic medicine is based on their beliefs. The belief is that the health of man and his body depends on the balance of his soul, body, and mind. The main purpose of this method is nothing but the health of the body and the fight against diseases. Some of the principles of this ancient medicine are still used in the world. But can this method really meet the needs of the people of this time?

The first question in the mind of an Ayurvedic physician is not what kind of disease the client has. Rather, he wants to know what his patient’s personality is, and what his behavior, abilities, and talents are. And after diagnosing these issues, treatment plans begin.

Principles of Ayurveda

Ayurveda says the mind, body, and soul of each person are in harmony with the world around him. In this view, the disease is the result of any imbalance in human communication with the world around them.

It says each person is composed of the five basic elements of space, air, fire, water, and soil. The ancients also believed that the combination of these basic elements with the three basic elements of life, called dosha, formed the human body. The three energies or double forces are actually the forces that control the functioning of the body.

These forces include Vata Dosha (air and space), Pita Dosha (fire and water), and Kappa Dosha (water and earth). . They say that one of these three forces was more powerful in each person than the other three forces. And it determines the main personality and function and general reaction of his body.

Dosha Vata is generally the strongest Dosha. If we adapt Dosha’s function to modern science, things like cell division, respiration, heart and brain control, and part of the function of the gastro – intestinal tract (excretion) are related to this force. So, they consider consecutive meals, fear and anxiety, sadness, and late sleep to be the disruptive factors of Vata dosha. Problems such as heart disease, skin diseases, rheumatism, and anxiety are also symptoms of Vata Dosha imbalance.

Pita Dosha’s force is responsible for controlling the digestion and secretion of various hormones (such as the hunger hormone).
The function of the kappa force is to control muscle growth, and provide the body with the force it needs, endurance, and weight control. Sleeping during the day, over – eating sugary foods, and beverages that contain salt and water can impair kappa function. As a result, it causes asthma, cancer, diabetes, nausea after eating, and obesity.

Doshas nature

Vata nature:
Lean limbs, dry and wrinkled skin, often have poor decision – making power but have high intellectual creativity and mental ability and are very fast in movement and speech, anger, anxiety, insomnia,

Pita nature:
Fit body, oily skin, high appetite, react quickly to events around them, and are prone to fever and inflammatory diseases.

The nature of kappa
On the other hand, they are calm, generous, well – behaved, disinterested in exercise and mobility, and often over – weight. They eat high – fat and high – salt foods and are prone to colds and sinus infections.

Doshas are inherited and are passed on through genes. Some people are triplets; Because in this type, all three doshas are effective, the person has the highest chance of maintaining balance. Of course, they also have a negative point, which is that in case of imbalance, they must line up all three doshas. This type of dosha is more likely in infants. And over time one or two doshas will prevail over the others and gain power.
